Lindsey McEwan Is Fundraising for the Food for Thought Organization

Lindsey McEwan, Licensed Title Agent and Florida Registered Paralegal in Moorhead Law Group’s Santa Rosa Beach Office, is leading the firm’s fundraising efforts for the Stock the Pantry Event for the Food for Thought Organization. This organization provides weekly access to food to 3,400 food insecure school-aged children across 34 school locations in Okaloosa and Walton Counties. The Stock the Pantry Event makes sure that the pantries are fully stocked at the beginning of the school year.

Established in 2010, Food for Thought started as a small family project to serve food insecure students in one school for one year. With a $300 budget, Founder Tiffanie Nelson partnered with her son’s school to begin providing critical access to food to children in need. For the last nine years, the Stock the Pantry Fundraising/Food Drive event has helped prepare and make sure that the pantries are ready to go for back-to-school to serve the 3,400 students in the program. Over the past 11 years, Food for Thought has grown into the go-to organization for fighting childhood hunger in the two counties it serves.

“As the mother of school-age children who lives in Okaloosa County and works in Walton County, I want to help make sure that ALL children in our area have access to food so that they can get the most out of their education,” says McEwan. “I encourage everyone to get involved with the Stock the Pantry Event so that we can help food insecure children get a good start to the school year.”
